Oil Cleansing Method- DIY Skin Cleanser

Hemp Oil

If I could point to one thing that has changed my skin dramatically, it would be the Oil Cleansing Method. Google it for more information. Trust me when I say that it works. It has completely cleared up my acne and made my skin smooth and beautiful for the first time in my entire life.

Stop spending tons of money on expensive cleansers, toners, and moisturizers. This is an all-natural and highly nourishing concoction for your face that will cost VERY little to make.

I use Hemp Oil. Hemp oil is non-comodogenic. It will not clog your pores. It just won’t.  It is packed full nutrients including calcium, potassium, magnesium, copper, vitamin A, vitamin B1, vitamin B3, vitamin B5, vitamin B9, and vitamin D, along with a useful dose of the antioxidant vitamin E as well as all 10 amino acids for protein building. Also chlorophyll (that’s why it’s green), phytosterols, phospholipids, magnesium, sulfur, potassium, phosphorus, and a bit of iron and zinc.

I buy the Nutiva brand at my local Sprout store for about $7/bottle for 8 ounces, but you can also get it on Amazon for a great price. The link below is for an 8 ounce bottle on Amazon for just under $7 (so you can save some money on Amazon). One bottle lasts me about 3 months with daily use.

How to use:

Rub a quarter size amount onto a dry face (even a face full of makeup). Rub in circular motions all over your skin, concentrating on any whiteheads, blackheads, or rough patches.  Meanwhile, get the water running hot. Get a washcloth wet with the hottest water you can stand (but don’t burn yourself, child!). Hold the warm washcloth over your face and let the steam open your pores for a few minutes and melt the oils in your skin. Wash all your makeup off with the washcloth. Repeat if necessary.

Now enjoy your super clean, smooth, and nourished skin!

*Note about Hemp Oil* If you are going to use Hemp oil in your cooking, please keep it refrigerated or else it could go rancid and you don’t want to eat it then. If you’re using it for skin care, it’s okay to keep it in a shower-safe bottle in your bathroom.

*Get fancy with it*  I mix up a 3 ounce bottle for my shower and add 12-15 drops of tea tree oil, 12 drops of lemon essential oil, and 5-8 drops of frankincense oil. This has been my magic sauce and my face is so happy!
